Thankful Thrusday
I have felt very thankful the last few days. I know I have, but... for the life of me I can't think of what I was thankful for at the time. Is that weird to say? It sounded better in my head. Anyway....
Girls Nights
I have had a couple the last week. Joy had a Girls Only birthday party and it was so much fun. We painted our toes and dished the dirt till 2 in the morning. It was awesome. I can't remember the last time I was just out with the girls. I don't think I have done that since Robyn's bridal shower actually!
I also went to see a movie with Amanda last night. Confessions of a Shopaholic. A very cute movie! It was good to be with somebody other than Harrison. I love Harrison a lot but we are the only people we hang out with.
Jessica
She is awesome. We were friends in high school and then we lost touch after graduation.... you know how that goes. She saved my life a couple of months ago by saving a bad hair cut. I am so glad we found each other again (thanks FaceBook). We are becoming good friends again. We help each other be strong I think. We were meant to be friends!
The Feeling of Accomplishment
It may seem basic, but it can be a really big deal. I have been able to get a lot of work done lately (both at home and at my job). I have been thankful for the feeling I get when something gets done, on time, and I am acknowledged for it. Its a good feeling. YAY
Well, that concludes this weeks episode. I'll have more next week.
Love ya peeps!

It's a sign.
So I had a weird dream last night.... I dreamed that I was at the Dr's office and they had to cut me (I don't remember why). When they cut my arm open sand and dust came out. The Dr said that I needed to drink more water.....
So, I figured I would go with this revelation given to me in these modern days and drink more water. I am not a very good water drinker. It makes me feel "sick" or "water logged" so to speak... so I have been adding those little water flavoring packets to my water bottle. Does that still count as drinking water? I would say yes. So what... there is a tinny but of sugar added... sue me! I think I will be laying off the Cherry Coke for a little while (shocking, I know).
Dreams are a weird thing. But I gotta go with this one! I'm sure my kidneys and dusty veins will thank me for it.

All this cold weather makes me want to puke!
This is a completely true statement. I hate waking up to snow. Today I woke up to snow. I went to bed looking at snow and I woke up looking at snow! It is SPRING for heaven's sake!
We had such a nice weekend last weekend... it was almost 70 degrees on Saturday. I was able to do some yard work and I shut the heater off too! I opened the doors to let the fresh air in... the day was amazing.
And now there is ice and snow on the ground. Doesn't Mother Nature understand that I am allergic to the winter weather? Mother Nature is NOT as understanding and loving towards me as my real life mother. My real life mother would understand that I get very sad and upset when it is cold and it snows. And then my real life mother would turn the cold and snow off so that I would be a happy daughter. I think Mother Nature needs to take a lesson in nurturing from my own real life mother.
OK, I think I am alright now.
Thanks for listening!

Ryker turns one!
Well, it is hard to believe that this little guy turns one this month! Ryker belongs to Gary and Amanda. We had the pleasure of taking his 1 year old birthday photos. Harrison did a great job I think! Kiddie Kandids.... watch out! The Jaala and Harrison team have come to town!
Here are a few of my favorites.

Blog Entry 100
Wow! Weird to think that I have entered text in this things 100 times (well, just less than that since Harrison has posted a few times). But here we are... POST 100!!!!
Reasons why I love to blog:
**I can keep my family/friends up to date on my life without calling everybody ALL the time.
**I can post photos.
**I love getting comments from my peeps.
**I love talking about my little family (in a non braggish sort of way... even if I do brag sometimes)
**I like my links to other blogs that I love (family, friends, lovely crafting ladies)
**It gives me something to do!
So here is to 100 more posts! I hope you like the TRC (totally random crap) we post on this blog. I love posting so I'll keep doing it until my eyes pop out of my head!

Crafting Credit
I finally remembered which crafting blog I got the Easter Egg idea from. INSPIRECO. Click here for the link to her very well illustrated instructions on these eggs. I wish I had the cute millinary flowers and antique buttons like she does... but I don't.
Anyway.... there is where I got the idea!

Easter Egg Extravaganza
So, I have been crafting again in my NEW craft room! I have wanted to make these VERY vintage inspired Easter egg centerpiece decorations for over a year and I finally decided to start them.
SO cute! I got the idea from another crafter/blogger (although I don't remember which one at the moment... I will get back to you with the link to her site). She had step by step instructions for these very dainty and beautiful eggs. They were a blast to make.
I am only half way done with the project. I have another bag of eggs to craft, but it is quite messy and time consuming, so I don't think I will get to the other half until next weekend or so.
Let me know what you think about the little beauties!

Our Deer Friends
We are excited (for now... until our flower/veggie gardens are planted) for the little family of deer that call our yard their second home. It looks like a Mamma deer and her 3 babies for now. Harrison has seen a young buck as well, but I think only once
Here are some photos Harrison snapped of the cute little things.

This is me looking at the deer through our front room window.
The New House
Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure of our new abode. We are enjoying our spacious and QUIET hill very much!
This is the side of the house (South facing). The covered porch faces the BYU football staduim and we will have a perfect view of the 4th of July fireworks from here. I am planning on planting quite a few flowers on this side of the house as well.
This is the front of the house (West facing). There is a second little apartment that is on the right side of the house (over the garage and just to the left of the garage). That little space will stay empty while we live here. I have started seedlings inside and they will be ready to plant in the many flower beds around the house in a couple of weeks. I am super excited!
This is the back of the house (East facing). We would like to plant a vegetable garden on this side of the house... we will see if we get that far this spring/summer.

Thankful Thursday
Another week has come and gone... Here are the things I am thankful for:
Good News
I went to an appointment for my braces and they gave me a finish time.... 4-6 months. I am pretty happy. So, I should have these bad boys off by the end of the summer! YIPPEE.
Instant Messaging
I love instant messaging programs. I am able to stay connected with friends, family, and co workers. I don't know what I would do without it. Harrison and I talk everyday through the I.M. while he is at school and I am at work. I talk to my Mom at least once a week over the computer and I talk to some of my friends almost everyday! I love it. I take it for granted for sure.
Our Quiet Hill
So our new house is on top of a hill and there is nobody else on that hill. It is so nice to come home and not have to worry about neighbors above us, below us, or around us. It is wonderful. I am really thankful for our new place. We even started planting things in the flower beds. YAY.
Warm Weather
There were a couple of days this week with high temps in the 60's. What a wonderful treat for me. Last night it dropped back into the 30's and dumped a bit of snow on us, but I would have to say that I was so happy to wear sandals twice this last week. I can feel Spring getting closer and closer! My co-workers and I have been wearing Springtime apparel because we believe "If you wear it, it will come".
